My Story

I am a mother and wife, a daughter, sibling, and student of yoga and spiritual practices. I am on my own journey of reconnecting with my native roots and culture. I am Indigenous to Peru; I am fluent in Spanish and identify as Latinx. I am currently an uninvited guest on the Ancestral, Unceded and Traditional land of the Syilx Nation now known as the Okanagan.

As a young adolescent I encountered many challenges in the transition of immigrating to a new country, moving from South America to Canada. It is most definitely a lesson in perseverance, acceptance, and stepping out of your comfort zone. In navigating my own journey towards healing I discovered my own resilience and interest in helping others.

My natural demeanor and empathy led me to the area of mental health. My life experience informs my practice of compassion, acceptance, understanding and curiosity.

My experience so far, has taken many forms, including outreach community mental health support, clinical and supervision roles in residential settings, family therapy, and most recently community settings for moderate to severe mental health presentations for children, youth and families.

My passion is to walk alongside individuals in their journey towards deeper self-awareness and healing. My approach is holistic, understanding the mind body and spirit connection present in our every day lives including when we encounter challenges. I mindfully and intentionally use talk therapy, mindful movement and somatic interventions tailored to your unique experience and needs to help support you in this journey towards healing.
