My Experience
I am a Certified Clinical Counsellour (CCC), Trauma-Informed Therapist, who brings over 30 years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups from all around the world (often utilising interpreters). I am a member in good standing with The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and I have a MEd.(Counselling) from Acadia University, Windsor Nova Scotia.
My Story
I am a mother, daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend, and compassionate listener. I love people, nature and being on the land.
I am currently an uninvited guest on the Ancestral, Unceded and Traditional land of the Syilx Nation now known as the Okanagan
I have worked and lived in several provinces in remote villages and large cities. In my work I have had the great privilege and honour to journey through the painful times with individuals, groups, and multi-generations of the same family toward healing and resilience.
I create and facilitate professional development workshops on healthy attachment, brain development, self-regulation, and relationships. I provide individual and family counselling sessions.
Circle of Security Parenting is an 8 session program, that supports parents/grandparents/educators in understanding the attachment needs of infants, children, youth and adults.
I am a flexible and compassionate counsellor with years of experience in providing counselling for groups, children, youth, adults, parents and grandparents. I walk beside you with care, curiosity, and empathy using a strength based, open hearted, and intuitive approach to assist you in seeing new possibilities and the courage to achieve best possible solutions.
